News Release – Canada
Santa Claus finally speaks to every child via a personalised video message, thanks to Sympatico / MSN and Ugroupmedia!
North Pole, December 16, 2008. “My Christmas preparations are well underway. I can now speak directly and individually to all children electronically,” explained Santa Claus during a live news conference direct from the North Pole. “Thanks to Portable North Pole (PNP) and the Sympatico / MSN website, I can now send personalised video messages to all of my young friends.”
With a little help from an adult (parent or friend), children will receive a one-minute personalised video message containing their name, age, preferred gift, a few secrets that only they know and even their picture. It is free and absolutely secure.
To watch the face of today’s tech-savvy child light up with joy, go to http://portablenorthpole.sympatico.msn.ca/home or type Sympatico Portable North Pole into a search engine. In less than 60 seconds, through a user-friendly interface, users answer a few questions to help Santa put his message together, which will be recorded on the spot, right there in his workshop. The final product can be watched immediately and then sent to either the parent or child.
In putting Portable North Pole together, Santa’s elves and the Sympatico / MSN website turned to Ugroupmedia (www.ugroupmedia.com). This young company created a personalised video platform (beta), for which it has a patent pending. The company will launch other concepts in the near future that, among other things, could be integrated into existing productions for use by the electronic media, advertising agencies and clients, sponsors, video producers, and bloggers.
Alexandre Bérard, CEO of Ugroupmedia, is very proud of the immediate success of his Portable North Pole. “The application was launched on Sympatico / MSN’s French-language homepage on November 24, 2008. On the very first day, 1,000 videos were created every hour or one every 3.5 seconds.” Veronica Holmes, Senior Director, Portal content and business strategy, Sympatico / MSN portal added “It’s a well designed product, very relevant for our users and it is much more popular than we anticipated.”
Ugroupmedia specialises in the development and implementation of web-based personalised video innovative solutions.
